The Bow River Band performed along Stephen Avenue in downtown Calgary during the lunch hour on August 5, 2010. Those stages on Stephen are actually pretty awful to take photos of, since you can't get a clear shot of people. Thanks to them for posing for a picture.

I happened by a fitness competition on Stephen Avenue Mall, near the end, so I missed most of it. This was one of the competitors just as things wrapped up. It was called the "Mr and Ms Anatomy Contest" and put on by the Body Worlds, currently at the Telus World of Science.

For this image, I changed her blue top to green to match the tree. The railing was made grey, to avoid distraction. And, a couple objects were removed. The other version is in adjacent in the photo stream. Feel free to comment, if I made it better, worse, or neither.

Taking a shot of Wheels in Motion

The annual Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion fundraiser took place outside of Eau Claire Market in Calgary on Sunday, June 14, 2009. It raises money to find a cure for spinal injuries, as well as improving accessibility for people with disabilities. People who are able to walk find out what it's like to navigate a race course in a wheelchair. Competitors included politicians and media personalities.
