It was a warm day. So, the Calgary Police were out patrolling the Bow River, mainly to look for rafters behaving dangerously.
People played bicycle polo along part of Memorial Drive.
This is from my photo shoot with the very beautiful Melanie (MM#1653223) at Bowness Park in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, June 6, 2010.
Also known as the Bow River Pathway. This is a section under the Louise Bridge, which was closed off.
This is the Louise Bridge (10 Street NW) in Calgary. Instead of "fixing" the white balance, I made it more out of balance, for the effect.
Water levels are fairly low right now, making it possible to walk out on some mini-islands in the Bow River, that would normally be difficult to get to, without a boat.
I saw this as I passed a bridge going from Ramsay over the Elbow to Victoria Park. This may seem slightly less senseless if you check the proceeding shots of the day in my photostream.
This was taken by me as I passed the bridge over the Elbow river going from Ramsey (left) to Victoria Park (right). In the distance is the Pengrowth Saddledome.
