This was taken along Stephen Avenue Mall in downtown Calgary. It was a very nice day for Winter, with a high around 10°C. My winter coat was probably to much. Though, not many more miniskirts yet.
I was looking for pictures of the aftermath of the wind storm in Calgary the day before. But, of course, this is totally unrelated. Fortunately, she smiled, instead of frowned, when she saw the camera across the street.
After the Occupy Calgary group moved to Olympic Plaza, a handful of people waded into the water. This girl was more prepared than most, since she had the right foot ware, it seemed, while others went in bare foot.
The Bow River Band performed along Stephen Avenue in downtown Calgary during the lunch hour on August 5, 2010. Those stages on Stephen are actually pretty awful to take photos of, since you can't get a clear shot of people. Thanks to them for posing for a picture.
Some of the daily entertainment put on for the Stampede at Olympic Plaza in downtown Calgary. I desaturated the background, especially reds, try and highlight the foreground.
This is the lead of Fanfarenzug-Strausberg marching band from Germany. I'm still wandering what it is the guy in the middle is holding. It looks like a baton with a bag attached. Their web site has some info on them, and time in Canada, but it seems to be all in German, as one would expect.
