This was taken along Stephen Avenue Mall in downtown Calgary. It was a very nice day for Winter, with a high around 10°C. My winter coat was probably to much. Though, not many more miniskirts yet.
This is MacLeod Trail in front of City Hall. It was shut down to traffic, and people were asking police for help in determining how to get where they were going (I don't know the content of this specific conversation).
The Thanksgiving Memory Walk and Run was held on Sunday, October 11, 2009, starting and ending at Eau Claire Market in Calgary. It raises funds for the Alzheimer Society of Calgary to support dementia care programs and services.
This is one of the pictures I took of a protest against Israel's ongoing actions in the Gaza Strip. It was organized by Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights (SPHR) and the Palestinian Canadian Student Society (PCSS). Protesters gathered along Macleod Trail by Olympic Plaza, opposite City Hall.
On June 21, 2008 I was at Stephen Avenue Mall to take in the start of the 2008 Bullrun. After it was over I took this shot, largely unrelated, but I liked it.
This is one of the photos I took of a demonstration by a small group of Nazis (organized by the Aryan Guard) and a much larger group of anti-racists opposing the Nazis at Calgary's City Hall on Saturday, October 14, 2007. The blonde in white was supporting the Nazis.
