I was planning on shooting protest downtown this day. But, something came up, and I missed it. So, while downtown I took some street shots, including this.
Not really a sketch on my part, but I decided to play with the "Sketch" function in my photo editor. Lots of young people were drawing what they saw at the Calgary Zoo. I assume it was they were students doing it for school.
I arrived at the protest late, and probably missed the peak. I asked these two ladies, who were taking a break, and sat at a nearby bench, if I could take their photo, and they were nice enough to pose with the signs, that they had just put down. A forum thread about the rally is here.

On June 21, 2008 I was at Stephen Avenue Mall to take in the start of the 2008 Bullrun. After it was over I took this shot, largely unrelated, but I liked it.
