I arrived at the protest late, and probably missed the peak. I asked these two ladies, who were taking a break, and sat at a nearby bench, if I could take their photo, and they were nice enough to pose with the signs, that they had just put down. A forum thread about the rally is here.
Protesters gathered outside the Telus Convention Centre in downtown Calgary on March 17, 2009 to protest a speach by George W. Bush inside. They were calling for Bush to be tried for war crimes and objected to his presence in Canada. This was one of the many photographers covering the protesters.
On June 21, 2008 I was at Stephen Avenue Mall to take in the start of the 2008 Bullrun. After it was over I took this shot, largely unrelated, but I liked it.
