From the quick look I had, the Occupy Calgary at Olympic Plaza did pretty well. I didn't see any obvious damage from the wind. The tents, as you can see, are standing. Although, I'm sure they must have some difficulties. I did have a slightly unpleasant circumstance, since one lady was complaining about pictures being taken by me. She didn't bother saying anything to me directly, and another person said people are free to take pictures. No big deal. Just a bit annoying, when people demonstrate in public to get attention, but don't like the attention (again, this was just one person, so nothing relevant to the group as a whole).
This is MacLeod Trail in front of City Hall. It was shut down to traffic, and people were asking police for help in determining how to get where they were going (I don't know the content of this specific conversation).
This is a cop controlling traffic on an entry point into to downtown.
This is a broken window from a building that's roughly 20 stories tall, and this is around 17 stories up, very approximately. Firefighters were here and countless places, helping to secure the scene. This is on the East side of 1 Street SW, between 13 and 14 Avenue.
A police officer stands by one of two cars in an apparent accident, probably one of many this day. He was also controlling the intersection, to keep people from going into the downtown from the beltline.
