I was looking for pictures of the aftermath of the wind storm in Calgary the day before. But, of course, this is totally unrelated. Fortunately, she smiled, instead of frowned, when she saw the camera across the street.
Not shown here, due to cropping, is a depiction of a Condi as an ugly witch, which I had mixed feelings on including, although I've shown worse in other photos, and might upload later. I don't think somebody's exempt from criticism or parody because of their gender or appearance, but caracturing somebody based on that, isn't exactly high brow commentary. A picture depicting some of the "enhanced interrogation methods" she approved of, would do more to convey the point intended.
Calgary Sun reporter Katie Schneider (left) interviews a few the people who came for the pillow fight. Given the small turnout, I think everybody with a pillow got interviewed by the media.
Marlene LaMontagne (left) is the candidate for Calgary Southwest and Jennifer Pollock is the candidate for Calgary West. I noticed Pollock is still wearing her Gerard Kennedy pin from the Liberal leadership contest.
This is one of the photos I took at the anti-SPP rally held outside of Calgary City Hall on February 16, 2008. There was a good turnout, especially considering there was a rather unpleasant cold wind, with some snow. It was supposed to have been a nice weather day, but this is Calgary, so we expect the unexpected.
This is one of the pictures I took on February 4, 2008 at the "Walk for the Peace of Colombia". It started and ended at Olympic Plaza, with a walk along Stephen Avenue Mall. It was quite cold, but everyone seemed quite enthusiastic, and determined to endure the bad weather. People were calling for an end to the kidnappings, killings, and other violence committed by FARC in Colombia.
