Lovely Leopard

PETA held a publicity event on Steven Avenue, waving at cars going down 3rd Street SW, in downtown Calgary on December 14, 2011. The orignal plan was to have three nearly naked women appear with body painting as a leopard, cow, and snake. Due to the weather there were just two (the cow is off camera, and the snake did not come). The leopard, seen here, wasn't outside when I came, but came out so I could get a picture.

Seal Hunt opponents at Torch ceremony

Opponents of the Canadian Seal Hunt used the torch cermony as a way of getting attention for their cause. Unlike the "Olympic Resistance Network", they are not opposed to Olympics per se. It's mainly a means of garnering public attention. I would take a wid guess they had around 20 people when I was there.

Thumbs up against coalition

This is one of the picturess I took at a pro-Conservative rally designed to protest the proposed coalition of opposition parties. Protesters gathered along Macleod Trail between City Hall and Olympic Plaza on Saturday, Decemer 6, 2008. It was self-titled the Rally For Canada.
