In addition to Tibet, protesters were also informed of the persecution of the Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) movement. The man speaking said he was imprisoned for three years and his wife was still held by China, due to their involvement with Falun Dafa (aka Falun Gong), a Chinese spiritual movement.

Later on, she tried waving a Tibetan flag from a light pole outside the Chinese consulate, which got her a ride in a Calgary Police Service car.
