Denise Ogonoski (right) was one of the members of Students for a Free Tibet that were deported from China during the Beijing Olympics. She spoke at the rally, here at Olympic Plaza, and later on, tried waving a Tibetan flag up on a light pole outside the Chinese consulate, which got her a ride in a Calgary Police Service car. Here, she’s being interviewed by Katie Schneider of the Calgary Sun.
This is one of the pictures I took in downtown Calgary of a protest for Tibetan freedom against the Chinese government. Protesters started at Olympic Plaza and marched to the Chinese consulate.
