The apparent arrest, by the same officers, seen in the smaller picture, was the only one I saw. Otherwise, police were pretty much just walking around and meeting people.
Protesters gathered outside the Telus Convention Centre in downtown Calgary on March 17, 2009 to protest a speach by George W. Bush inside. They were calling for Bush to be tried for war crimes and objected to his presence in Canada. The officers wee part of a large presence.
I happened by this scene by North Hill Centre on 14 Avenue NW. Off camera there's more police presence, suspects being detained, and also mall security nearby.
