Resiance Corporation was supposed to build the "Gateway Midtown" condo project, nextdoor to the sales centre, but it had to cancel the entire project, well after work began. The property was picked up by Pointe of View. Recently, a sinkhole formed on 4th street (filled in here), probably due to work done (but suspended) at the site.

The Calgary Police had a substantial presence. They mainly watched and took lots of pictures. There were a few arrests, but not many, and relations between police and demonstrators remained civil throughout.
