This is one of a few time lapse photos I took at an LRT crossing downtown. This was taken just after sun set. So, there was enough light reflected from the sky to make the snow appear blue. So, "fixing" white balance to make the snow white, made the sky whiter, which I guess is ok.

I know it's supposed to be a "tree", built to limit wind gusts on Stephen Avenue Walk, but from this angle, it looked like a bird to me.

It's neat how ultra deep freezing cold can make regular winter cold feel comfortable. So, with the "nice" weather, I took a photo stroll along and near 36 Street SE in Calgary, trying to catch the last bits of light for the day.

A foot bridge at the Confederation Golf Course, where there's a large Christmas light display setup. The red snow and red trees is probably more from the traffic then the display.

This is the bottom side of a pedestrian bridge over Memorial Drive, which leads to the LRT pedestrian underpass that crosses the bow. I would have preferred it, if I had a tripod, to do a long exposure.

This is the Louise Bridge (10 Street NW) in Calgary. Instead of "fixing" the white balance, I made it more out of balance, for the effect.

Mount Equipment Co-Op is on 10 Avenue at 8 Street SW, in the Beltline, next to downtown. As some have noticed, I've gotten into night photography a lot lately (with "night" starting very earlier this time of year). I've done a bunch of time lapse, so now I'm experimenting more with handheld, with high ISO, and learning to live with some noise. Also, this is one of the first pics with my new Sigma 18-200 lens.
