The singer was performing with a band on a stage on Stephen Avenue, and she got out on the street to find some people to dance to the music. I previously saw her perform on the Avenue during Stampede week in 2007 and 2008.

This is a picture of a choir I took on Stephen Avenue Mall on September 26, 2008. I beleive they were from a Christian church (based on the lyrics), but I didn't catch what specific group they were with. They all seemed talented.
Since everyone was wearing old fashioned attire, which was mainly black and white, I thought doing the whole picture in black+white, plus some cropping out of modernity, would make it look like it could be from the past. I guesse I've been on a bit of black and white kick lately.
At this point the worshipers temporarily stopped pulling the chariot (off camera) down 8 Avenue SW. The girl with the microphone, and others, were singing/chanting the Maha Mantra:
