These girls were part of the sizeable "Walk for the Peace of Colombia". that gathered at Olympic Plaza in downtown Calgary on February 4, 2008. Similiar gatherings were held around the world, with enormous numbers in Colombia itself. It was quite cold, but everyone seemed quite enthusiastic, and determined to endure the bad weather. People were calling for an end to the kidnappings, killings, and other violence committed by FARC in Colombia.
