Lots of Breast Cancer Survivors

Lots of Breast Cancer Survivors
Marchers wore pink for the Breast Cancer Survivors Parade put on in and outside of Banker's Hall in downtown Calgary. Done partly as a fundraiser, but mainly to honor the fight by survivors against cancer, it featured a hundred or so survivors of the disease marching on Stephen Avenue Mall. The event was organized by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) and sponsored by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC).

Interesting park

Interesting park
This is a park opened on June 11, 1974 in Victoria Park (part of the Beltline neighborhood) in Calgary. I'm not sure if the walls in the park were from an expired building (here or elsewhere), or they were built like this for the park. It is located on the south side of 12 Avenue between 5 and 6 Street SE. There's probably an interesting back story which I don't know.

Device to Root out Evil 15

Device to Root out Evil 15
This is the "Device to Root out Evil" sculpture by artist Dennis Oppenheim. The upside down church was originally in Vancouver, but complaints caused it to be relocated to its current address: Ramsay Exchange, 803 - 24th Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. People were still working on it when I took these photos. As mentioned here the Glenbow Museum is behind the exhibition.
