This was taken after the annual Pride Parade held in downtown Calgary on Saturday, September 1, 2013. There was party/festival held at Shaw Millennium Park.
Calgary held it's Pride Parade along Stephen Avenue Mall. It's microscopic compared to Toronto, but still a good turnout. I was really annoyed with myself, because I forgot to put my memory card in my camera before I left. I only had room for about 8 photos on my camera's internal memory.
Harry B. Chase, Alberta Liberal MLA for Calgary Varsity speaks to the 2008 Pride Calgary crowd about equality after the parade. He was one of the four Calgary Liberal MLAs to attend the parade.
This is one of the photos I took at the 2008 Pride Calgary event. The march went East along 8 Avenue, ending at Olympic Plaza, at which point some people waded into the pool (seen here) to have some fun.
