Getting ready for Afrikadey, these people were dancing to the music put on in a preview during Heritage Day at Eau Claire Market. Afrikadey is an annual festival that runs August 9-14, 2010. The main event is on Prince's Island on the 14th.
I forgot her name, but she is one of the people performing on an outside stage at the 2010 Calgary Sampede Grounds. She was one of the competitors in the Calgary Stampede Talent Search. She was playing the guitar, which is visible in other photos.

Some of the daily entertainment put on for the Stampede at Olympic Plaza in downtown Calgary. I desaturated the background, especially reds, try and highlight the foreground.

This is the Kensington Sun and Salsa Festival entry in the 2010 Calgary Stampede Parade. The annual festival is held on Kensington Road and 10 Street NW on July 25, 2010. It includes the Miss Sun and Salsa Pageant, which I'll be shooting, if I don't die of heat stroke.
