This actually turned out diifferent than what I remembered taking a picture of. I took a pic of a resting butterfly on the ledge of a dirty exterior window. Not an appealing backdrop.
Calgary held a salute to Olympians from Alberta at Olympic Plaza on Monday, April 5, 2010. It was followed by a mini-parade of athletes led by a show band down Stephen Avenue.
Another butterfly at the Calgary Zoo. I was trying for a butterfly in flight, which just the butterfly in sharp focus, but the butterflies didn't seem to care.
Taken on Good Friday, April 2, 2010, along the "Stations of the Cross" procession organized by Catholics, which moved it's way mainly through the Beltline area in Calgary.
I was following along with the Stations of Cross procession, when it stoped at the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre (one of the stations), which is the building in the background. In the foreground is the flame and monument at Central Memorial Park for those died for Canada in military service.
