This is the Kensington Sun and Salsa Festival entry in the 2010 Calgary Stampede Parade. The annual festival is held on Kensington Road and 10 Street NW on July 25, 2010. It includes the Miss Sun and Salsa Pageant, which I'll be shooting, if I don't die of heat stroke.

I tried to do something a little different here, since the main subject isn't the closest thing to the camera. I played with the exposure in Photoshop, to make her face brighter, to draw more attention there. I also desaturated the colour (but not fully) on teeter tot.

Bowness Park is the ideal place for photos on rail tracks. It has a miniature train, that currently isn't operating, running through the park. So, you can use it, without fear of arrest, or being run over.

I had a photo shoot with the beautiful Anastasia (MM# 1742238) at Confederation Park on July 6, 2010. Some models need coaxing to smile. Anastasia is the opposite, since she has a very positive upbeat personality. After looking at the shots, I thought her natural smile, usually worked better than my suggested sombre mood poses.
