Protest of Karl Rove in Calgary

Protest of Karl Rove in Calgary

The colors were screwed up, so I made this black and white. I kind of like how it makes it look more like a newspaper image.

This is one of the pictures I took outside of the the Artists of the World Gallery, (514 – 11 Avenue SW) in the Beltline community of Calgary on September 24, 2008. Inside Karl Rove gave a speech to an elite group of guests who paid $500-a-plate to hear him speak at the event organized by the Frasier Institute.

On fairly short notice a dozen or two demonstrators showed up to protest against the fact Rove was invited and generally object to all the policies, particularly related to the Iraq war, that are associated with Rove.
