Go Skateboarding Day was marked on June 21, 2009 by hundreds of people skateboarding at multiple sites throughout downtown Calgary.

For the best overall representation of the day see this video by Moulton Steel Productions. Near the end, in an incident I didn’t see personally, an officer actually threatened skateboarders in the street with his unleashing attack dog on them.
