David Bronconnier, Mayor of Calgary, seems rather excited while doing some pre-walk warm-up excercises with a member of the Calgary Police Service.
The World Partnership Walk is an annual event put on in cities across Canada to raise funds for the Aga Khan Foundation Canada. The Aga Khan is the spirtual leader of most Ismali Muslims, but the Foundation is secular, and helps with development in Africa and Asia. The Calgary Walk started/ended on Prince’s Island. Seen here is the Enmax Stage, where the crowd was lead in some pre-walk warm-up exercises.
