Karen Sim is a Calgary violinist that often busks around the city. I previously took this photo of her in 2008, and I was very happy to hear her say she liked it.

Karen has played a leading role in lobbying the city to improve it’s treatment of buskers, who had signficant success in mid-2008, with an easing of rules, that’s caused a noticeable increase of activity in 2009.

She’s seen here busking outside Eau Claire market, in what I think is a wonderful and original outfit.
