In the Calgary community of Hillhurst, activists rallied against racism in general and the Aryan Guard specifically. The protest started on Kensington Road, went North along 10 Street NW (seen here), and then wound up shortly after at Riley Park. The event was organized by Anti-Racist Action (ARA) Calgary.
On a trivial side note, I went to geotag this image, and found the road they’re crossing doesn’t appear on Yahoo or Google maps. For whatever reason, 3 Avenue NW doesn’t appear to the immediate West of 10 Street NW on the maps. A satellite (or aerial) image actually shows a car on a road not appearing on the map. I’m pretty sure the road has been there a long time.
