Nicole Fleck

Nicole Fleck Lilac Festival May 30, 2010

Nicole Fleck is a Canadian model and beauty queen from Saskatchewan, who won the title of Miss Calgary 2010.

Early life

Fleck was born and raised in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Growing up, she was a dedicated figure skater and dancer. She taught figure skating and also volunteered to teach ballet and jazz. She attended Mariposa Figure Skating Club in Barrie, Ontario. She also studied at the Drewitz School of Dance. She figure skated for 15 years, and danced mainly ballet and jazz for 17 years.

Fleck is a 2006 graduate of Assiniboine Community College with a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Environmental Technology Diploma and graduated the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Science in Geography in 2008.

Modeling and pageantry

She moved to Calgary to pursue a modeling career. She went to Patti Falconer Model and Talent Agency, who ran the Miss Calgary pageant, and decided to compete in their pageant, which she ultimately won on February 28, 2010. As part of her reign, she volunteered on a number of different projects. She took part in charity fashion shows and art auctions.

Fleck at Lilac Festival

Fleck was selected to be one of 63 delegates from across Canada, who competed in the the Miss Universe Canada 2010 pageant. The pageant took place June 12 and 14, 2010. Elena Semikina from Toronto was named the winner.

The above photos were taken by me at the annual Lilac Festival in Calgary on May 30, 2010. Fleck appeared wearing her Miss Calgary 2010 sash and crown, in the parade that kicks off the festival, which runs along 4 Street SW. She was part of a group of title holders from pageants run by the Patti Falconer Model and Talent Agency.
