Native Fashion at the Plaza

Native Fashion at the Plaza

A variety of cultural events are taking place to go along with the 2009 WorldSkills competion. This is part of a fashion show held at Olympic Plaza on Thursday, September 3, 2009.

There were two designers. The first had traditional models: young and thin, dressed, and made up in ways nobody would normally present themselves. The second, was a native designer that had fashions inspired by native traditions, while still being original and creative. This picture is of a model in the later group. Unfortunately, I forgot, and can’t find the name of the designer. I think she said she had a store in Inglewood.
