Hats laid at Edwards Place Park 1

Hats are laid out to represent workers who died on the job.

The International Day of Mourning Workers Killed or Injured on the Job was marked in downtown Calgary on April 28, 2009 by marching with a faux coffin and wreaths from the Alberta Workers Compensation Board offices to the City of Calgary Workers’ Memorial, which is located at Edwards Place Park, on the SW corner of City Hall. It was organized in part by the Calgary and District Labour Council.
